Looking to commission a piece of your own?
It’s not complicated! Here’s what will happen…
You select the subject matter! We will talk on the phone, by email, or during a visit to the studio to get a feel for the type of painting you’re looking for.
Select the technique and feel of the painting. Take a look through previous pieces on the portfolio page and at the current collections to find the inspiration and style of your painting.
3. Select a quality or characteristic that makes the painting unique. Each piece is one of a kind so make yours special to you!
4. Select the size and shape of the canvas. Standard sizes are listed below, scroll down to view! If you are looking for a custom size or shape that will come with an additional fee.
5. Provide a 25% downpayment at the time of your order. Once your downpayment is completed, I will begin working on your painting!
My husband and I recently moved to South Boston from Seattle and our new unit was in need of a colorful, cheerful piece for the entryway. One day during the heart of the pandemic we walked the floors at SOWA to see if anything fit the bill. One look at Nick's studio and we were in love with his work and his positive energy; his art just exudes happiness as does the artist himself!
A year went by and I couldn't stop thinking about Nick's garden pieces. We stopped by on a Sunday to see about purchasing a piece, but after speaking with him we realized we were able to commission our art to our liking with the types of flowers, colors, and overall mood. Based on our preferences, he was able to build a unique interpretation that expressed us and was consistent with his artistic style. Along the way Nick sent a video, pictures, asked questions, and communicated the timeline. When it was time to pick it up, he freshly painted a title on the back for us to our liking. This is the first painting I have ever commissioned and Nick's personality, communication, and design skills have made the experience personal and transformed my entryway into a happy home. I will use Nick in the future and I highly recommend hiring him for your next piece.
